2008 Outlaw Class Rules

IF IT DOESN’T SAY IT; YOU CAN’T DO IT.

1. OEM standard steel body

2. 8 inch spoilers allowed

3. Weight: 3200 lbs with driver  Will be weighed at the end of feature event.

4. Wheels and Tires: 8" UMP Open Wheel Hoosier Tires or American Racers. (No Wide 5 Hubs)

Engines

1. All engines must be cast iron block and heads

2. Cylinder Heads: Any steel head factory or performance allowed. N-Ford Heads ok. Examples: Dart, Pro, Bowtie etc. Porting and polishing allowed. Roller Rockers, guide plates and stud girdles allowed. Any aluminum or cast iron intake allowed.

3. Camshafts: Solid, Hydraulic or Roller allowed.

4. Engine may be moved back but #1 spark plug can not be farther than 1 inch from ball joint.

Carburetor

1. 2 or 4 barrel allowed. No alcohol --- 750 Holley or Factory Quad only.

Drive Train

1. Transmission type optional: Automatic, Standard 3 or 4 speeds. No Racing Transmissions allowed. Aluminum flywheel allowed.

2. All cars must have working reverse.

3. 360 Degree drive shaft loop is mandatory and must be installed on forward 1/3 of drive shaft. Drive shaft must be steel and stock for car and painted white.

4. 9" floater rear ends allowed. No quick change.

5. Racing clutches and couplers allowed.

6. Wedge bolts allowed on front and rear.

7. Front suspension aftermarket tie rods ends and steel sleeves and upper a frames optional.

8. racing shocks allowed.. any location

9. Stock 4 length suspension and leaf spring cars. Adjustments may be made if leaf springs are dominent.

10. lower trailing arms must be in stock location on the frame.

11. rear springs must be in stock location.

Frame

1. 108" minimum wheelbase  116" maximum frame cars only. No wide frames.

2. Frame must remain stock until the center of the rear end housing. May shorten to 108"

3. Frames may be boxed or X for strength.

4. Steel Front & Rear firewall. Stock floor pan to behind driver.

Claiming

1. $50 carb and tire protest only

At any time the track has the option to pump and inspect any car at the driver's expense
